These shifts in the information landscape present a massive challenge for executives, policymakers, lobbyists, and political campaigns. They don’t know where to obtain trustworthy information. Turbine Labs has developed an AI-powered software platform to help global leaders and stakeholders remove barriers to access and leverage accurate, unbiased information. So they can make decisions that shape commerce, the economy, policy, and society. Better and faster than ever before.

We’d like you to join us as a Data Journalist Intern.

Interns at Turbine Labs work in a highly collaborative environment to produce and deliver immediately actionable topic and campaign briefings for our customers, who are senior executives at large companies, policy makers and lobbyists. Our Software as a Service (SaaS) aggregates and filters consumer, media, influencer, and virality data from millions of sources to determine the true impact of any event or campaign.

While software gets us most of the way to delivering our product, we rely on curious, motivated professionals to ensure every output meets the exacting standards of our customers, through the application of insights, narrative, and analysis.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, Business, or Marketing preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team environment with limited supervision

  • Naturally curious, able to speak and write about various topics and interests

  • Ability to research complicated subjects using a variety of sources (e.g software and databases)

  • Knowledge and experience with market research and/or behavioral research

  • Critical thinking & problem solving

  • Strategic decision making

  • Data visualization - Tableau
